If you have no windows in your basement, this is a bonus. If you do have windows, you may want to cover them with sheets or wood.

So if you plan to purchase those new wine storage racks, first spend some time cleaning out the basement, so you can secure a safe and stable place to put the wine racks. If you plan this out properly, you might find that the taste of your favorite glass of wine might be even better-preserved next time some special occasion calls for it.
